Coming Up: My Shocking Reveal + A Call For Help

It’s no exaggeration when I say that this week is the most important week in my nearly seven years of blogging.

I am preparing to reveal a very shocking behind-the-scenes story in my personal life that has been going on for over three years. Yes, you read that right. Three years.

As excited as I am to come forward with our story, I’m also incredibly nervous because I’m going to be asking for your help.

Asking for help is such a vulnerable experience. But imagine asking others for help with what could quite possibly be the most important challenge you’ve ever faced in your life. So yes, I’m a total ball of nerves right now!

You’ll have to wait until later this week for the full reveal. The photo I’ve included in this post is the only clue I’ll provide you: IMG_4505

In the next few weeks, note that I also may be posting more off schedule. You can always count on posts from me every week; I just might be posting on different days other than Monday/Friday and I might post only once or several times.

Let me end this by sharing with you my extraordinary gratitude for your readership. You’ve made this blog possible. You presence has inspired me in so many ways — including to reach out to you and share one of the most important stories of my life. Thank you for reading, commenting, subscribing, sharing and just being there for me. It means so much.

Stay tuned for the big reveal and thank you.

  1. Hehe, I expected to see something at the end here about you losing your passport on a trip to Nigeria, and needing $2,000 wired to you…

Clue in the photo… Jun has been on growth hormones, and is now too tall for Hangzhou? A very unimaginative game of “Where’s Waldo”? Jun has attracted a flock of seagulls, and you need our help in breaking the spell he has over them?

Sorry, you know me, not able to not make a joke. All ears as to what has been happening. Let us know, as prayers can help, too!

  2. Three years and the statue of liberty? I am going to guess green card/permanent resident of the US for Jun. We just finished our USCIS marriage-based green card journey of about 16 months as well.

  3. My guess would be that the theme is the discrimination suffered by Jun in the States… happy to support in any way I can.

  4. I did figure it may have been the discrimination he and you faced a few years back. I’m glad that now you can share with us the story of what happened.

Now since I’m in Shanghai and will be in China until June 15th, I’m checking every morning for updates!

    hope all is well 🙂

  5. now this is torture !!!
it is like watching the last episode of the walking dead, what happened to glenn ???
can’t wait to find out what is your PROBLEM that you need the readers help !!!!!

  6. I eagerly anticipate it! As an Asian-American I really enjoy reading your blog, it helps me to understand my own family/relatives better and it gives me insight into a big part of my culture that I have always felt was missing since I was not close to my parents.

  7. I figured it was the discrimination story you mentioned. If there is someway I could help, let me know. By the way are you going to continue blogging? Part of it sounds like you are stopping. Baby and I are doing OK so far. He is seven weeks, looks like me and my dad as babies, and only Asian features he has are eyes, nose maybe and Mongolian spot on right hand

    1. Thank you Sveta! Appreciate your help.

No, I will not stop blogging. I just might be posting on different days during the week — but you can always count on posts from me every week.

I’m glad you and baby are doing well!

  8. Does the staue stand for Liberty and Justice? This guess is out of the blue……you are taking someone to court due to discrimination!

Your readers will support you and I’m sure will help in any way they can.

  9. Let me guess….. The discrimination is that either your family or John’s or both are somehow trying get you 2 to divorce or separate. Am I right? If so, don’t give into their demands. Stay strong. I know I have been a little pest in the past by writing about my pursuit of those China dolls and this has irked many. But deep down inside, I am against discrimination in any form.

    1. As I said if the Asian men did the same thing white men did in Hong Kong and were dating or marrying white women in places such as Idaho this is the minimum harm they will face. In some places in the south it will be worse. Welcome to Donald Trump’s America sad and disgusting as it may be!
