Awww… What a lovely story there. It’s true that celebrating a festival when you are living in a country that does not can be difficult, but those are probably the most memorable ones.

I like the fact that John went out his way to see Santa on Christmas day to get some nice goodies. Socks, scarf and hat sound nice. 🙂

People can show love in many different ways, and sometimes that’s only evident when we’re with people who grew up with different traditions from us. Sweet story!

AW! I love that he ran out and got you something. So sweet.

The holidays aren’t big with Andy, even though he grew up in the US. He didn’t even have a Christmas stocking until I gave him one. When we’re with my family, though, he depends on me to get all the goodies to stuff everyone’s stockings. It’s just not second-nature to him. Nor even third, fourth, or fifth nature, really.

    Yeah. The man flunks Christmas.

    Good thing he can cook.

My yobo once forgot my birthday… so we did a re-do and celebrated the next day 😉

I hope you feel better soon!
